Key Projects of VEMEC
The Veterans Emergency Management Evaluation Center (VEMEC) is engaged in a growing number of projects that seek to:
- Identify and mitigate public health preparedness and response problems that jeopardize continuity of Veterans' care
- Improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability of VA's emergency management system
- Promote disaster resilience among Veterans and their communities
- Enhance international, national, state and local emergency management, public health, safety, and homeland security efforts
