Deputy Director of Policy and the Women’s Health Officer for Health Outcomes Military Exposures
Shanna R. Smith-Jackson, DrPH, MPH, CPH
Dr. Shanna Smith-Jackson is the Deputy Director of Policy and the Women’s Health Officer for Health Outcomes Military Exposures (HOME). In this role, Dr. Smith-Jackson oversees Policy’s administrative functions, supervises personnel, and leads HOME’s annual Military Environmental Exposures Training Conference for VA staff.
Dr. Smith-Jackson is a U.S. Navy Veteran and graduate of the 2013 class of Presidential Management Fellows. She received her Doctor of Public Health and Master of Public Health degrees from Walden University. Dr. Smith-Jackson is also a licensed practical nurse and is certified in public health by the National Board of Public Health Examiners.
